Lesson #1 in Heart-to-Heart Communication
This is a grandmother with a baby that should NOT have lived...was born VERY, very prematurely as a pound's worth of baby, had heart-surgery already and has been on Intravenous Nutrition tubes and also oxygen continuously in the IMPERSONAL, glass-and-metal neonatal "Intensive Care Unit" that has traumatized MORE people for life than I care to remember from my hypnosis regressions.
Little baby-girl Blaze used to "forget" to breathe once home from being in the neonatal ICU forever, still with her oxygen-tube on and all, so someone had to stay awake and sit with her all night, so as to shake her "back to life".
That baby of my friend's daughter far away from here saw NOTHING but masked parents and nurses at a time when babies NEED to take their cues from their loved-ones by their FACIAL expression and developmentally need to see facial movements very much, so as to "read" their normal, non-verbal cues!)
BUT, that grandma kept at it with the parents! (She even moved across the country for many months, leaving her husband and other grand-babies so she could relieve the crazed, forced-to-mask mother and father who were SCARED and overwhelmed!!)
And look at the now already filled out and grown baby after so many months of suffering terribly in denatured, robotic, impersonalized environments. She is pulling herself up for the first time to my friend's face right in front of our eyes... up to grandma's emotionally-intense face, because of the way she talks with little Blaze and has her heart open to her.

(As we say in analytic work: There are veritable STRINGS of true-contact-intensity and heart-openness connecting from the mother's /grandmother's eyes to the babies forebrain. [This type of interaction has NOT happened for criminally acting out people - - and many self-serving, untrustworthy politicians - -, so that their "greedy" instinctual self takes over, NOT the adult-acting, undeveloped forebrain, which never got engaged.)
